oor die verlede te praat en selfs met mekaar daaroor te verskil is deel
van die groot debat waarvoor Van Wyk Louw pleit. Baie van die huidige
debatte in die kerk en in Suid-Afrika het immers hulle wortels in die
vorige eeu. Koot Vorster se sterk standpunte oor bykans elke aktuele saak,
sy verstaan van die uitdagings van sy tyd, tesame met sy dinamiese en
kleurryke persoonlikheid en 'n lewensloop deurspek met staaltjies is nie
net bestanddele vir 'n interessante storie nie, maar lewer terselfdertyd
ook 'n belangrike bydrae tot die debat.
